Leland Peabody probably passed through here on his way to the gold mines.
1873
April: Henry Wagner, his wife Almeda (Peabody) and their children moved to land about seven miles north of Golden which they eventually expanded to include 1240 acres. This was the Wagner Ranch.

Edwin Peabody and family moved from Breckenridge to Golden.

Edwin Peabody and family moved from Golden back to Breckenridge.
1920
The 1920 Federal Census for Colorado, Jefferson Co., Golden showed Almeda Wagner, at age 76, living by herself. She reported the birthplaces of her parents as "unknown" although she recalled them a year or so later when she wrote her memoir.
