Barrabas Quivey:

He was the third owner of Oakdene, obtaining it in 1860 and selling it in 1861. He lived on the land before buying it. The 1858 map shows him living there on what is now Elsewhere, the Gateley land.  In 1835, he married Margaret Vought, a daughter of Nicolas Vought (a Vought residence is shown just east of the Delling Cemetery on the 1858 map).  They had six children.

The 1850 New York census (Wolcott) included:

•     Barney Quivey, age 47, farmer, assets $25., born in New York

•     Margaret, age 42

•     Harriet, age 12

•     David, age 10

•     Mary, age 8

•     Emily, age 6

•     Martha, age 1

From the 1874 Atlas of Wayne County, some 1870 populations were:

The first interment in Delling Cemetery was a Mrs. Gardner in 1823; she had lived on the bluff on Lasher's farm.

 Re the Dellings:

• Manoah and Sally settled here, possibly within the years 1823 to 1830.
• They had a son named True.
• True had a son named Albert T.
• Albert T. had a daughter Mary G., who was born in 1883 and owned the old Manoah Delling homestead which burned in the summer of 1933.

• Manoah and Sally also had a son named Manoah, Jr., who married Hester Vought, a daughter of Nicolas and Mary Vought; Hester was born in 1817 and died in 1889.

• Charles Bigalow purchased his farm (on Brown Road, north of Delling) from True Delling about 1854.
