Janice York Beck's Foreword |
|
During my search I have decided that the Yorks are honorable men with great pride in the York name, and justly so. The material is arranged with Thomas Robert York and general things relating to him in the first section. Then each of his children and Naomi's children has a section of his own also containing their descendants. .......... I have enjoyed collecting the information in the following pages, especially because of the people who helped me, some whom I had never met, others whom I knew only slightly, and some whom I knew but learned to know better. This "new friendship" with my, in some cases, new-found relatives was most enjoyable for me. A special thanks goes to Ella Taylor, Cathern LaHolt, Nancy and Tom York, Wilson Gateley, and many others too numerous to mention. This is not the end of my search - really only the beginning. My work on the ascendants of Thomas Robert York has not been successful but I'm still working on it and will continue to do so. |
